Cat Fence Kit Retrofit

An affordable cat fence retrofit kit. Some customers asked for a way to convert their existing conventional fence to help contain their cats. This kit will help you convert an existing wood type fence for cat containment. Other fence types may work but need to accept mounting screws for the cat extender brackets. The cat extender brackets are U shaped in appearance and use screws on either side of the extender to hold the extender to the mounting surface. Two U shaped brackets are used per extender. A good example of a fence type for this retrofit kit would be a stockade fence.
This kit may be retrofitted to a chain link fence with your own hardware. You would need a way to attach our 1 3/8 extender brackets to the chain link fence post uprights with a clamp like a hose clamp, which can be found at most hardware stores. Simply clamp the extenders to your chain link posts to attach them. This also may work for vinyl fence systems.

Please free free to ask any questions if you have them, we're cat people happy to help you with your project.

The cat fence retrofit kit includes the following: 12 black powder coated cat fence extenders, 12 black matching extender caps with mounting hole for fence, mounting brackets with screws, instructions, 100 120lb breaking strength fence ties to attach the mesh to the brackets and 100 feet of 4 foot wide fence mesh (leaving you enough overlap to secure the material to your conventional fencing). Not included would be the tools necessary for installation, such as a screwdriver to screw the brackets. You will also need a way to attach the mesh overlap (the mesh that extends below the bracket over your conventional fencing) to your existing fence. Most customers use galvanized staples (found in the nail section at Home Depot for example) and a hammer to secure it.
